Patsy Britten competed in a Helen Kane impersonation contest held in Seattle against two other Boop Boop a Doopers, 6 year old Norma Nellis and 9 year old Edith Barstow, in a contest helt at the Metropolitan Theatre which was broadcast by KPCB. Britten was backed by the Max Dolin Orchestra and sang I Have To Have You. The audience demanded an encore, Britten returned singing Helen Kane's current hit, Dangerous Nan McGrew and won the contest prize a Victor Micro-Synchronous radio. Two weeks later Britten was singing and modeling new fall styles in a back to school fashion show at the Bon Marche department store on 3rd Avenue and Pine Street.
