Lyrics:

Love love love love

Look what you've done to me

The things I never miss

Are things I cant resist

Love love love love

Isn't it plain to see

I've just had a change of heart

What can it be

He's got eyes of blue

I never cared for eyes of blue

But he's got eyes of blue

And that's my weakness now

He's got curly hair

I never cared for curly hair

But he's got curly hair

And that's my weakness now

Oh, my

Oh, me

Oh, I should be good

And would be good but gee

He likes to bill and coo

And I never cared to bill and coo

He likes to bill and coo

So that's my weakness now

He likes a saxaphone

I never cared for a saxaphone

But he likes a saxaphone

So that's my weakness now

He likes those rainy days

And i never cared for a rainy day

But he likes a rainy day

So that's my weakness now

Oh, let it rain

Let it fall

Cause I think he knows just

What it's raining for

He likes likes a long good night

And i never had a long good night but

He likes a long good night

So that's my weakness now

And he likes

Bu-Du-Da-Du

And I never cared

Ba-Da-Da-Da

But he likes

Da-Da-Da-Da

That's my weakness now

And he likes

Ba-Da-'n-Da-Da-Da

And I never cared

Ba-'n'-Da-Da-Da

But he likes

Da-Da-Da-Da

And that's my weakness now

But more

But more

Oh, I think he knows what

Ba-Da-Da

Is for

He likes

Bu-Du-Da-Du

I never cared

Ba-Da-Du-Du-Da-Du

But he likes

Bu-Du-Da-Do

So that's my weakness now

Oh, that's my weakness now

Trivia

  • One of Helen Kane's first recordings in 1927 features scat lyrics in song that might have been taken from Baby Esther Jones as it was stated that Helen might have seen her perform in the early 1920s, scat lyrics that were later adapted by Kane to Poop Poop a Doop then Boop-Boop-a-Doop & Bup Bup a Dup.
  • When Helen Kane later performed this song she removed the Ba-Da-Da-Da's and used Boop instead.
  • Betty Boop performs this song in her debut cartoon Stopping the Show with vocal by Mae Questel. In the cartoon she was supposed to impersonate Helen Kane with Helen asking her to impersonate her but the scene was removed when Helen Kane launched a suit against the Fleischer Studios.
